Why did you guys choose New College? You both seem smart enough to have gone wherever you wanted.

new college is an honors college— coursework is very rigorous, even during the first couple years of study, and students are required to write and defend an undergraduate dissertation prior to graduating.  it’s a lot more difficult to get through four years (in my case, five years) of new college than it is to get through four years at nearly any other school in the country, so we figured we’d be getting a pretty good education if we went to new college.

also we both paid in-state tuition and had 100% bright futures scholarships, so it was basically free to go there lol.

I took this picture of Rikki around the time we started dating. This was originally shot in her living room with me at an angle below her so that most of the background was white from the ceiling. I revisited this shot today to cut her out and put her against a smooth backdrop, which helped it a lot I think.
I only used one flash for this and the ceiling as a simple bounce, making for a butterfly light kinda affect. Being that it’s Rikki (who is convinced she isn’t photogenic at all) she of course fought me as I wanted to take her picture. I told her to press her chin to her chest and then to flip hear head up. She only did it once but I luckily caught this.
I find it refreshing to see shots that emphasize the strength in a woman’s jaw as it is rarely embraced. Try shooting guys from a downward angle and girls from below to mix things up and make a striking shot
We then drove over to Rico’s pizzeria I’m pretty sure.

Does anyone else think that Justin kind of looks like Colin Farrell?

Here’s a snippet of the boy I used to be… well, musically anyway.  My old band, Wolf Wolf, recorded this track in Tampa during my third year of college.  My friend Cameron did the vocals, my friend John played that sexy, sexy bass, and I played the drums!  I should warn you beforehand— this type of music isn’t for everyone.  The track is loud and dirty and the vocals aren’t well-mixed, but it’s got a lot of energy.  It’s also got a great coda (or whatever you want to call it, haha), so you should at least try to enjoy it!  :P
